Dr Christine Wagner is a Generalist Psychologist and Hypnotherapist with a broad range of skills, knowledge and experience treating a wide range of mental health issues in adults, children and adolescents. Christine has been working in the area of psychology for 12 years and holds Specialist Endorsement in Educational and Developmental Psychology (Psychology across the lifespan).
Christine has been working in private practice as a Psychologist and Hypnotherapist at the Blackburn Specialist Centre for 12 years and worked with the Shepherd Works dietician practice for 2 years as their Psychologist and Hypnotherapist.
Over the past 4 years, Christine has been treating gastrointestinal issues with Gut-Focused Hypnotherapy. Due to the brain-gut connection many gastrointestinal (GI) issues can be greatly improved with the use of hypnotherapy and there is strong clinical evidence for the use of hypnosis with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and other functional GI disorders. Christine has found that symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease can also benefit from the use of gut-focused hypnotherapy.
Christine is an associate member of the Australian Society of Hypnotherapy (ASH) and a member of the the Australian Psychological Society (APS)
